Materials & Care

Since we launched Tether in 2014, our mission has been to create jewelry that merges bold design with uncompromising standards. Every piece is prototyped with precision and made in small batches, using materials chosen for their durability, safety, and beauty. Our commitment to sustainability guides us in selecting recycled metals, ethically sourced gemstones, and production partners who share our values.

Stainless Steel

Our line of stainless steel clickers is crafted from 316L surgical-grade steel, chosen for its strength, durability, and biocompatibility. These designs will not rust or tarnish and are engineered to endure.

Care: Clean with mild soap, water, and a soft cloth or brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry before storing. Avoid harsh chemicals to maintain the polish.

Solid 14K Gold

We design our threadless ends and piercing adornments in 100% Responsible Jewelry Council–certified, nickel-free 14K solid recycled gold. Each piece balances sustainability with enduring beauty, ensuring both environmental accountability and lasting quality.

Care: Gold is soft by nature. To maintain brilliance, clean gently with a soft cloth or jewelry-safe cleanser. Avoid abrasive polishing, which may scratch the surface. Store in a dry, enclosed space.

Natural Gemstones

Our gemstone selection is curated for both beauty and integrity. All of our diamonds are VS2-grade and sourced in compliance with the Kimberley Process, ensuring they are conflict-free. Beyond diamonds, we work with trusted partners to source ethically mined and cut natural gemstones with minimal environmental impact. Each stone is carefully set to showcase its unique brilliance and character.

Care: Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth after wear. Avoid impact, extreme heat, or exposure to harsh chemicals. Store separately to prevent scratches.
